Every time I visit London I have dinner religiously at Singapore Gardens in Swiss Cottage. Charlie Chan – star hairdresser and extremely good old friend- took me there many years ago when top “chef” Mrs Lim used to still cook there before she retired. We hired the private room and went with Anna Vissi and other good friends.
The dishes were so good we got addicted. When you eat asian food with Charlie you order the real stuff. Especially Malaysian – because he is Malaysian and Singapore Gardens is the best Malaysian restaurant in London. And this is when he introduced to us the best asian dish in London:
There is no way I can explain the crusty peppery delicious taste – its kind of a high quality equivalent to Kentucky Fried Chicken! Order some pak choi in oyster sauce , plain white rice and nothing else. Though all their dishes especially the ones from Singapore&Malaysia are the best of the best!
I just came back having devoured two huge crabs and am going through the same vow that I never keep-that I will zip my mouth from tomorrow..
