Introducing Anandes Hotel, an homage to timeless Greek elegance set to bring intimate luxury back to the island of Mykonos. With panoramic views over Mykonos Town and the Aegean Sea, the boutique property will also launch French Riviera-inspired restaurant La Petite Maison
Perched upon a hill within the heart of the iconic Mykonos Town, celebrated for its charming architecture, vibrant energy and unique views, Anandes Hotel emerges as the latest independent luxury boutique hotel, opening on 16th June 2024. Gracing a high point of Mykonos’ enchanting Old Town (Chora), overlooking its glaring white houses, windmills and the breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea, Anandes Hotel is re-defining the new Cycladic chic style.
Featuring 42 rooms and suites, many equipped with private pools, along with a spa and the highly anticipated arrival of the internationally acclaimed French Riviera-inspired restaurant, La Petite Maison (LPM), at the poolside al-fresco terrace and in-room dining, Anandes Hotel is set to redefine intimate luxury hospitality on the island.
Designed by Studio Bonarchi, the property blends traditional elements with avant-garde design, creating radiant spaces decorated with unique furnishings and sculptural lighting. Upon entering the hotel, guests are welcomed by custom light fixtures from French sculptor and artist, Philippe Antonioz, with the lobby slowly unfolding onto the terrace to reveal the vast ocean view that truly sets Anandes apart. The hotel features custom artworks from artists including Richard Serra and Thomas Houseago, each complementing its sophisticated Cycladic aesthetic.
Architect and Founder of Studio Bonarchi, Vangelis Bonios, says “Studio Bonarchi’s vision for Anandes Hotel celebrates the beauty of Greek light, conceived as the most precious gift for a place that stands out uniquely above Mykonos town. Organic forms dressed in the luminous white of the Cycladic idiom contrasted with authentic natural materials in dark shades compose spaces in a poetic dialogue with the view of the blue sea.”
The rooms within Anandes are dominated by natural stone, embossed pine wood, linen fabrics and rattan elements, forging a palette that creates a dialogue with the sea views that surround the hotel. With six room categories ranging from the Executive Sea View Suite to the Royal Sea View Suite with Infinity Pool, each room features Bang & Olufsen products, custom bedding, bathrobes, slippers and bathroom amenities by Frederic Malle. Bathrooms feature travertine stone sinks with elegant brass taps, with each element of the rooms meticulously crafted with glimpses of mid-century design – a nod to the jet setters of the past which captivates the fascination of cosmopolitan globetrotters of today. For the first time, hotel guests will also be able to enjoy LPM favourites in the comfort of their room.
Anandes’ breath-taking poolside and al fresco dining space offers unparalleled views over the island and the Aegean Sea that are difficult to find elsewhere in Mykonos Town. The internationally acclaimed French Riviera-inspired restaurant La Petite Maison (LPM) will occupy the impressive open air poolside dining space, with the 125 cover, fully outdoor restaurant marking the launch of the group’s tenth international restaurant and its debut in Mykonos. Designed by interior designer Sagrada founded by David d’Almada, the aesthetics will seamlessly complement the Anandes ethos, paying homage to the enduring charm of Mykonos with references to Greek mythology in the finishing touches throughout. The restaurant will cater to hotel guests during the day and open to the public for dinner, creating a unique oasis before the vibrant Mykonian nightlife commences.
LPM has created a bespoke menu for poolside dining that seamlessly marries LPM’s signature French Riviera flair with Greek influences. Guests of Anandes can delight in starters such as Sea Bass Ceviche with Truffle Ponzu, and Burrata and Tomato Tartine, as well as mains including a Wagyu Sandwich with Focaccia, Rocket Pesto and Sweet Peppers, Cocca Pizza with Grilled Courgette and Feta Cheese, and Grilled Prawns with Pita Bread. For breakfast, guests can enjoy dishes such as Eggs Provencal, French Toast with Fresh Berries and Mascarpone Chantilly, as well as Tomato Tart with Feta Cheese and Basil.
Designed for sharing and conviviality, dinner guests can expect a menu that features LPM’s classics such asWarm Prawns with Olive Oil and Lemon Juice, Snails with Garlic Butter and Parsley and Thinly Sliced Octopus with Lemon and Green Chilli, as well as the cult-favourite Vanilla Crème Brûlée for dessert. Complementing the dishes is a sophisticated list of cocktails, including the timeless favourite Tomatini – a must-try when visiting any LPM.

About Studio Bonarchi
Studio Bonarchi is a boutique interior design agency conceived by Vangelis Bonios. Constantly focusing on incessant research into texture, composition, colour, ambience and local history, Studio Bonarchi creates refined, timeless interiors and love-to-live-in spaces. A distinctive noble simplicity, with an eye for detail consistent with the Studio’s identity.
Bonios is an interior designer, curious by nature, holding a Master’s degree in interior design that he obtained next to Pr. Patricia Viel, co-founder of “Antonio Citterio and Partners” in Milan. This cherished encounter gave Vangelis the opportunity to acquaint himself with high-end projects (such as Bulgari hotels and Valentino boutiques) from the creator’s point of view. Fine materials, simple and pure lines captured his attention from the very beginning of his work. During his fifteen-year partnership with “Zege Architects” as a head interior designer, he worked on large scale projects like “The Met Hotel”, a Design Hotels member, and “Astir Palace Hotel”, next to other demanding projects like yachts’ interiors and private residences.
By creating Studio Bonarchi, a boutique agency founded on creativity, on ideas and beliefs that reflect his personal vision on aesthetics, Vangelis Bonios works with a team of young designers and local, experienced artisans to design bespoke interiors with a strong visual impact.
